Annual All American Picnic

Come and join us — it’s Picnic Time again! We’re meeting at Perrigo Park in Redmond for great picnic food including burgers, hotdogs, potato salad, chips and homemade desserts. You’ll have fun, relax, and mingle with great friends. We’ll hear both from local candidates on the ballot this year and candidates running for office in 2024 including Semi Bird and Dave Reichert! This is always a fun event — invite your friends and neighbors!

Cost of the picnic is $10 per person (pay in cash at the picnic please). Kids 6 and under eat free. And you can eat free too if you bring a homemade dessert to share!

UPDATE: Due to a scheduling conflict, Matthew Frohlich’s planned presentation will be delayed to our September meeting. Brian Heywood will be with us to walk through the six conservative initiatives now gathering signatures – as well as copies of the initiatives you can take home to help on. The Initiatives have a December deadline to gather signatures so we have plenty of time to meet those goals.

We’ll also have a speaker to walk us through the six conservative Initiatives now gathering signatures – as well as copies of the initiatives you can take home to help on. IMPORTANT UPDATE: We just confirmed that Rep. Jim Walsh will be our guest speaker this Thursday! Rep. Walsh has been a strong grassroots voice in the legislature and is now seeking to be the next State Republican Chairman following Caleb Heimlich’s resignation. Come hear his insights on the last legislative session as well as his thoughts on what he would like to do if he is the next Republican State Chairman.

Our guest speaker will be Dann Mead Smith, who will tell as all about Project 42, “a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization created to change the course of Washington state to prioritize free markets, personal liberty and an individual’s right to prosper.”

Dann was President and CEO of Washington Policy Center for 20 years before stepping down in fall 2021 to start his own firm, The Mead Smith Group. His main client is Project 42, which he co-founded in 2020. Some of the nonprofit groups launched or supported by Project 42 over the last year include Change Washington, League of Our Own Washington, The Center Square Washington, and Future 42. Come and learn how volunteers are building a conservative future for our state!

We’ll also discuss opportunities in the 2023 local elections and get the latest legislative updates. Looking forward to seeing you there!
