And our friend Brian Heywood bill be with us to discuss the petition drive for Initiative 2066 that will repeal the state ban on natural gas. We’ll also discuss plans for the Duvall Days Parade coming up on Saturday, June 1.

Our special guest speaker will be Dr. Raul Garcia, who is running for U.S. Senate this year to unseat Maria Cantwell. We look forward to hearing from Dr. Garcia about his campaign and his priorities for Washington. Please bring your questions for him!

Dr. Garcia escaped Fidel Castro’s communist regime in Cuba with his mother at the age of 11. They eventually settled in Miami, Florida where most of their family continues to reside. He graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology, and from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He developed a passion for Emergency Medicine and has continued to serve on the front lines for the last 25 years. In addition to Emergency Medicine, he has been a successful small business owner of his own medical practice, has been the founding Dean of two medical schools, and the Medical Director of two hospitals. He is currently the Chief Medical Officer of Astria Toppenish Hospital.

He founded Opportunity for Washington as a non-profit, nonpartisan effort promoting education and change. He also founded the Partnership for Food Security in 2020 to promote education for COVID-19, particularly among the Latino community. He is a very proud and committed father to his five children. He and his wife Jessica live in Yakima.

First meeting of 2024!

Our January meeting of Republicans in the 1st and 45th legislative districts is this Thursday, January 25. At the meeting, we’ll review the results of the pooled Precinct Caucuses on January 13 and discuss what will happen at the upcoming District Caucus, County Convention, and State Convention.

If you have any ideas for the King County Republican Platform, please bring along your written suggestions and give them to Dave Griffin, our 45th District representative on the county Platform Committee.

Attend Your Precinct Caucus on January 13!

This coming Saturday, January 13, is your chance to make your voice heard on who our next President should be! 

2024 precinct caucus bannerAttend your Republican Presidential Precinct caucus, share thoughts with your neighbors and elect delegates to represent you to the next level – the 45th district caucus on Saturday, February 3 (Kamiakin Middle School), and the King County Republican Convention on March 9.

Spread the word — bring a younger voter or a neighbor with you!

Our effort to replace failing Democrat President Joe Biden with a Republican begins this Saturday. Help make that happen!

All precincts in the 45th Legislative district will caucus at Redmond High School, 17272 NE 104th Street in Redmond.

Doors open at 9:00 AM. Meeting begins at 10:00 AM.  We expect caucuses should finish before noon.

Bring photo ID and Voter Registration card or confirmation of voter registration. Voter registration confirmation can be printed out from https://info.kingcounty.gov/kcelections/vote/myvoterinfo.aspx or looked up online on your cell phone at the check-in.

$10 per person suggested donation to help defray the cost of building rental. Cash or check recommended; credit cards accepted by making a donation online through https://45gop.org/.
